Audience: IT Professionals, Systems Engineers, PMO Managers, Project Managers, Consultants and other people responsible for the deployment and management of a Microsoft EPM Solution using Project Server 2010 in medium to very large environments. Technical Level:300-400 Pre-requsite: a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Project Professional At Competion you will be able to: Plan the Microsoft EPM infrastructure and deployment, Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / Analysis Services, Install and configure Project Server client software, Import project data and resources, Configure Demand Management and Portfolio Analysis and Upgrade and Migrate to Project Server 2010.

Module 1: Planning to Deploy Project Server 2010 This module provides the background knowledge to effectively plan a Project Server 2010 deployment. Lessons presented in this module will detail the logical and physical architecture, planning for high availability and scalability, understanding the Sharepoint site structure and hardware and software requirements.

Module 8: Configuring Time and Task Management This module describes how to configure and manage time and task management. Lessons presented in this module will detail how time and task reporting work, what are financial and timesheet periods and how to configure them.

Module 2: Installing and Configuring Web Services This module describes how to install and configure IIS 7.5 web services. Lessons presented in this module will detail creating the necessary service accounts, installing and configurng the software components and web service settings.

Module 9: Configuring and Managing Project Server Security This module describes how to configure and manage Project Server security. Lessons presented in this module will detail how Project Server security works, creating Project Server security users, groups and categories and configuring the various permissions.

Module 3: Configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2008 This module describes how to install and configure Microsoft SQL Server 2008 for Project Server 2010. Lessons presented in this module will detail installing and configuring SQL Server with Analysis Services and Reporting Services.

Module 10: Configuring Demand Management and Portfolio Analysis This module describes how to configure and manage Demand Management and Portfolio Analysis. Lessons presented in this module will detail how Demand Management works, defining business drivers, project lifecycle and testing the configuration by creating project proposals, analyses and prioritizing projects and committing selection decisions.

Module 4: Installing Sharepoint Server 2010 This module describes how to install and configure Sharepoint Server 2010. Lessons presented in this module will detail installing single server and multi server farm configurations.

Module 11: Configuring Project Workspaces This module describes how to configure and manage Project workspaces. Lessons presented in this module will detail how Project workspaces work, creating a custom Project Workspace site template, adding and modifying web parts.

Module 5: Installing and Configuring Project Server 2010 This module describes how to install and configure Project Server 2010. Lessons presented in this module will detail configuring single server and multi server farm configurations, configuring Project Server 2010 in an extranet scenario, configuring Forms Authentication and configuring Project Server Reporting.

Module 12: Project Server Administrative Tasks This module describes the administrative tasks that a Project Server Administrator will be required to know. Lessons presented in this module will detail importing projects and resources, configuring and building the OLAP Cube, reviewing and creating views.

Module 6: Configuring Project Server Clients This module describes how to configure Project Server clients. Lessons presented in this module will detail creating Project Server profiles, installing and configuring the necessary software components.

Module 13: Project Server Disaster Recovery This module describes the tasks that a Project Server Administrator will be required to know to implementing a disaster recovery plan. Lessons presented in this module will include the backing up and restoring of SQL databases, OLAP cubes, IIS metabase, binary files, Project Server settings using built-in tools and Project Resource Kit.

Module 14: Upgrading and Migrating to Project Server 2010 This module describes how to upgrade and migrate to Project Server 2010. Lessons presented in this module will detail upgrading Project Server 2007 single and multi server farm using In-Place and DB-Attach upgrade methods and Migrating from Project Server 2003.
